June 17th, 1959 - Dear Diary, Today I am writing from a surveillance base located in Western Berlin. This morning the mainland just had a huge breaktrough in areospace technology. Thanks to our hard work here spying on the soviets, we were able to make a major development in airplanes making them faster and quieter. We also accidently discovered the location of 2 additional soviet airforces bases. Other than that, it was a pretty uneventful day at the base. I did hear some rumors about some chaos going on the eastern side of the wall. Supposedley there were people attempting to break it down. I thought that was quite interesting. Tensions are on the rise inbetween us and the soviets, they are now doing 24 security patrols of the entire base and now have people on radar 24/7. ive been woken up at midnight 3 times this week to shelter in one of our bunkers becuase someone thought they were going to bomb us.Â
