What does it feel like to be in the trenches? You feel small and helpless; it's feels very scary.
What sounds do you hear in the explosion? War sounds - guns, explosions, and people yelling
What words can you think of to describe the trenches? Claustrophobic, dirty, life and death, disease ridden and just awful in general.
What were some of the difficulties soldiers in the trenches faced? Having enough food, communicating with other troops and receiving communication, getting ammunition, and getting good medical supplies/services.

Why were the first tanks developed during WWI? They were developed in an attempt to make an imbalance of power, allowing one army to have more power than the other.
What were some of the problems with the first tanks? They were very slow, couldn't handle rough terrain, and they were very uncomfortable to live in.
How would you feel like a soldier in the trenches watching one of these first tanks advance towards you? I would be terrified. I would start running.
How would you describe the inside of an early tank? It was very crammed and uncomfortable to live in, it was probably also very hot and dirty.
